Black skies cover the earth,
Dark clouds question the soulful worth
Of all the nations
In never-fleeting desperation-
The pained expressions
Brought by mortal hurt.
Red sands drown the lands,
Blood-stained plains;
The sun creeps and the moon wanes,
Ever-joyful, withered strains
Of weeping women and sickened men.
Sobs and tears become saline streams,
Children born to play leave in screams
Following the other's;
Separation accompanies broken mothers,
Their fantasy's a nightmare, fear an eternal dream.
Guilty conscience, you've killed your child,
Tortured bones and soiled rags in piles
Of stench of death and wail of heart,
Let the maddened souls depart;
Hazed reality burned in flames high and wild.
Torment, anguish, the peace of inconstant pain-
Never cease, but join in hand
Fading memories of long days lost.
